Three Months!!

Zac is Three Months Old and his personality continues to shine through more and more every day!

Zac has had an eventful month, learning new things and traveling to AL for the first time!! He officially found his hands a week after turning three months old and they are constantly in his mouth. He loves being outside, and didn't mind the grass when I sat him in it for the first time on 9/10. He has now rolled from belly to back, but only once (9/21)... I think it scared him when it happened so he has had no interest since! He has also taken much more interest in sitting up (propped up in the couch right now) these days.

We are now getting out to do more things, which has been fun and much needed! We went to the movies to see Sully & Zac did awesome! It was a dine in theater & they opened just for moms so they could put out blankets for babies to move around. Most of the babies were older so we didn't have much in common during our (still immobile for the most part) stage of life.

I did join a moms group that meets on Thursdays and that has been such a blessing!! Their babies were born between June and September so they are all around the same age as Zac. I look forward to watching friendships develop with these new moms, and between our little ones.

So sweet! 9.17.16

We traveled home to MS/AL on September 23. I was already planning to go home that Monday the 26th to help with my sister's wedding stuff that week, but unfortunately, Brett's granddad passed away so we traveled to Mississippi for the funeral. It was a sad time to say goodbye but it was also a sweet few days getting to introduce Zac to Brett's family. We are extremely blessed to have amazing family that have prayed/continue to pray for our precious boy.

We left MS on the 26th and traveled to Alabama to stay with my family for the week. We were very fortunate that Brett's work allowed him to work from AL instead of making multiple trips back and forth. It was so much fun watching Zac meet my siblings, his cousin Caroline, extended family, and being adored by my parents, his Nana and Papa. The Lord is so generous to provide these sweet moments to not only parent our greatest blessing, but to watch others pour into him as well. It was hard to take him to AL and not be able to watch my Granny spoil him rotten, but I smile knowing she's with the Father who handpicked him for us.

Zac spent the weekend of his "3 month" birthday celebrating Aunt Autumn's and Uncle Av's wedding. Although most of the time he was in other people's hands or riding around in the old wagon, my favorite moment is watching my sister dance with him at her wedding. I love watching my little sister be the best aunt! So there you have it, our second month with Zachary James in a nutshell!
My forever wedding date!

Love!

Reception love from Aunt Autumn!

Stats:
We have officially dropped down to one feeding between 4-5:30 and then up around 7:30-8:30 for the day! Eating 4-6 oz  6-7 times a day, and has a pretty good routine set.
Pushing up on tummy time (which he is not liking as much these days), rolling over, sucking hands, smiling and talking
No doctor appointment this month but weighed in Alabama and our handsome healthy boy is 16.2 lbs!

The best smiles!
Taking interest in
everything around him!
Happy baby!

"Their Hearts are Steadfast, Trusting in the Lord"

A verse I had no idea would grow to mean so much to me! I wrote this post over a week ago now, just late posting! July 21, 2015 One month-It has been exactly one month since I've seen and talked to my Granny.  I have thought about what I have wanted to write in this post a million times, and a million times more have wanted to sit down and write it, but never could bring myself to do so. Well, I got my hair cut yesterday and all I could hear is my Granny saying, "Your Papa would be maaadd at you" and "Nooo you didn't cut it off". And again this morning, as I made my coffee, I am laughing at the last time I fixed coffee for my Granny. It was the week of June 15th and I was staying with her. I made coffee for myself and convinced her to try it.  It was way  too strong (Thank you Keurig for taking away my ability to make coffee in a regular pot). Granny responded with "oooo that's bitter" but then came the "it'll be alright...just a...

Answered Prayer

The news we have been waiting for... We are MATCHED!!! This last week has been a beautiful whirlwind as we received news on Monday that an expectant mom, "K", that we had presented to wanted to talk with Brett and I on the phone to "confirm" us as the family chosen to parent her sweet baby. The Lord continues to be in every detail and we are so overwhelmed by His grace and faithfulness! We received an email that they were looking for a couple to match with this mom back in March. We were presenting to another expectant mom at the time so were unable to have our profile shown to her then. We did not match with the mom we presented to at that time and received two no's before our consultant sent an email saying that K had not matched with anyone yet, and they were reaching back out to see if any other families were interested. We of course said YES, and all I could think about was that she didn't match in March because that was our baby...I also said ...

Like Arrows in the Hand of a Warrior...

All Scripture is God-Breathed... "Behold children are a heritage from the Lord...Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are children of one's youth." Ps. 127:3-4 I received this necklace in the mail a few weeks ago from a sweet friend...A perfect gesture at the perfect time to mark not only the journey the Lord was bringing us through, but to also remember our sweet babies. I have wanted to start this blog for quite some time, but couldn't find the words to perfectly convey all the Lord has placed on my heart over the last few months. But here I am...a day off of school for the snow and snuggled on my couch with a cup of coffee, ready to tell you our story on what would be the mark of 17 weeks today with these little ones.  There have been so many nights in the last few months that I have tossed and turned, unable to fall asleep despite pure exhaustion-due in part to physical and mental exhaustion from teaching high school math, but mostly due to pure e...
